Mats Årjes has been re-elected as President for the Swedish Olympic Committee. Mats Årjes was chosen unanimously by Sweden’s 41 Olympic federations at Tuesday's General Assembly and his second term as President will run until 2025.
Mats Årjes has led the Swedish Olympic Committee since 2018. Mr. Årjes will combine his role as President of the SOC with the role as President of FIS, should he be elected to both positions.
The SOC board also got two new members in Petra Sörlind (table tennis) and Stefan Rahm (sailing).
Vice President Per Palmström stepped down after twelve years as a board member. He was honored with a silver plaque.
