Similarly, Sergeant Cardenas, supposedly, took advantage of the position and command to provide confidential information to the chiefs of Los Contadores about military operations and actions in their area of interference. It is also noted that it is directly involved in the trafficking of narcotics and arms, allowing their free mobility, as well as facilitating the transit of members of the illegal group.
The information also specified that in October 2021, alias Cháchalo had ordered the execution of two homicides in Tumaco, which would be related to disputes with different structures over the control of drug trafficking routes and other illicit economies.
This person was charged with the crimes of aggravated homicide, concert to commit an aggravated crime; trafficking, manufacture and carrying of narcotics; and manufacturing, trafficking, carrying of weapons for restricted use, ammunition for restricted use, for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces or explosives.

The information from the institution also indicated that alias Renteria, apparently acting as the coordinator of hit men, would be the material and intellectual author of selective killings for territorial disputes over drug trafficking, extortion charges; he is also responsible for the forced displacement of civilians in the area general of the districts of La Guayacana and Llorente in the municipality of San Andrés de Tumaco, Nariño, which was his interference.
“This important operational result contributes to the clarification of the murders of social leaders in this area of the country and results in the residual organized armed group Los Contadores losing control over the strategic mobility corridors for drug trafficking and the shipment of cocaine hydrochloride to Central America, directly affecting its illicit economy,” said the military authority.
Similarly, he pointed out that this action is part of the military offensive being carried out to provide protection and security to the civilian population of the departments of Nariño and Valle del Cauca. What is being sought, according to the National Army, is to neutralize the terrorist action of residual organized armed groups, whose objective in turn is to contribute to the stabilization and consolidation of southwestern Colombia.
