In the middle of the election day and despite the electoral ban, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) promoted the Mandate Revocation exercise of this 10th of april.
Through a Twitter post, which was deleted hours later, the federal agency promoted the popular consultation by calling on citizens to exercise their “citizen right” which - if valid - would define whether Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) remains in power or not.
This event earned him a wave of criticism that not only attracted the attention of Internet users, but also of counselors and party representatives at the National Electoral Institute (INE).
One of the attacks came from the counselor, Ciro Murayama, who disapproved the fact, which, he declared, would reflect the relationship that the Morenoista Government keeps with the Law.
To its tweet, the server annexed the constitutional decree which would put the administration back in the eye of the hurricane due to the alleged misuse of public resources for the propaganda of the exercise - an accusation that led to a series of accusations against Adán Augusto López, the Secretary of the Interior, for the alleged commission of the crime.
The publication of the unit under the ownership of Rogelio Ramírez de la O was made at 07:16am, a few minutes before the polling stations were opened and that the Presiding Councillor of the INE, Lorenzo Córdova, gave a speech in which he urged political entities to respect the Law.
“In the information age, cheaters and cheaters will always be discovered,” he said at the Opening Ceremony where, in addition, he called on citizens to report and document any electoral crime.
Even, it should be noted, the Treasury publication was presented by the representative of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), Ángel Clemente Avila, before the meeting of the Institute's General Council.
During his participation, the perredist lashed out against the administration for using the public budget in electoral processes, arguing his accusation with the SHCP tweet: “Even on this day of election day, the Federal Government was not kind enough to comply with the Law,” he said.
Faced with this, Clemente Avila announced, the PRD will file a complaint appeal in such a way as to cancel the Mandate Revocation process due to the “systematic intervention of officials and the President of the Republic”: “We must alert citizens and if it does not have consequences, 2024 (presidential elections) will come worse”, warned.
This April 10, the exercise of the Revocation of Mandate was finally held to determine the continuity or suspension of the administration of the president, & nbsp; Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO).
It should be noted that for the consultation to be valid, it is necessary, among other requirements, a participation of at least 40% of the current electoral roll. That is, of the nearly 93 million Mexicans registered in the INE, it will be necessary for about 37 million to vote.
