World Sports Administrator and Former Olympian Lord Sebastian Coe to Address BABC LA

LOS ANGELES, CA - July 16, 2015 - The British American Business Council Los Angeles (BABC LA) is pleased to present a Distinguished Speaker Series Breakfast with Lord Sebastian Coe, British politician and former Olympic track and field athlete.

The event will take place on Monday, July 27 in the Le Grand Trianon Room at the Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills, located at 9500 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. Dan Rutstein, UKTI’s Regional Director, West Coast USA, will be hosting a conversation with Lord Coe on Sebastian’s journey from Olympic Athlete to World Sports Administrator and Businessman, and how lessons learned on the track can translate into the business world.

Lord Coe, a middle-distance runner, won four Olympic medals, including a gold and silver at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games and a gold and silver during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. He also set eight outdoor and three indoor world records in middle-distance running events. Now, Lord Coe is Executive Chairman of CSM Sport & Entertainment and also Chairman of the British Olympic Association. He was Chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, having previously been Chairman of the London 2012 bid company. In 2011, he was also re-elected to another four-year term as a vice president of the International Association of Athletics Federations. Additionally, Lord Coe was presented with the Lifetime Achievement award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards in December 2012.
