Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: The President of the Organising Committee for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Carlos Arthur Nuzman, was awarded the title of Grand Officer of the Order of Aeronautical Merit by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) during the commendation ceremony of the Order of Aeronautical Merit, held on Tuesday, the 23rd, at the Brasilia Air Force Base. The event is part of the Aviation and Brazilian Air Force Day celebrations, presided by Defence Minister Celso Amorim.
The "Order of Aeronautical Merit" is the greatest commendation granted by the FAB in recognition of services rendered to the country by civilian and military figures.
